Chocolate Banana Split Stout w/ Cherries!

It has been too long since making a crazy beer. Something I use to do all the time. The last beer I made that had bananas in it was in 2009. I made a holiday spice ale then and put the bananas in the yeast starter. Here is the link to that beer -  Gone Bananas This time around I am putting the bananas in the secondary and using a Belgian yeast strain and fermenting it at a warmer temperature.  The cherries and vanilla beans will also go into the secondary. My efficiency finally was really good! Nearly 75% which for those that don't know efficiency is related to the mash and converting the complex starches in the grains into sugar. 100% would mean that all possible starches available was converted. If you don't convert there will be nothing the yeast will want to eat thus no alcohol and co2 (aka carbonation).

I know it sounds a bit strange to have a beer with all this going, but that is normal for me! Everything went well and I took lots of pictures and my hope is to show others how to all grain brew though the pictures. I will post them soon. Here is the link the recipe - Chocolate Banana Split Stout w/ Cherries
